International cooperation

Cooperating with international partners is another focus of activities in the field of illegal drugs. This includes regular cooperation with the European Monitoring Centre for Drugs and Drug Addiction in the context of REITOX as well as participation in projects of the PHARE programme with Central and East European countries and in projects of the CARDS programme with countries of former Yugoslavia.

The activities in this regard aim at promoting an exchange of information and a transfer of knowledge between different countries and experts. In addition measures to harmonise relevant procedures are adopted so that the parties involved may react to drug-specific developments in a coordinated and efficient way. Projects and activities:
