Quality reports and health information

Our task is to improve transparency in health care. We present easily accessible data on the quality of health care services to provide information to the public and to supply analyses for health care providers. Policy makers are the third target group of our quality reports.

The current data situation in Austria’s health care system is not yet sufficient for preparing comprehensive quality reports. Therefore, we now focus on fundamental questions and have started to build networks in order to improve the data basis and to draw up pilot quality reports. These activities will be expanded step by step, in cooperation with relevant stakeholders.

The health portal www.gesundheit.gv.at will provide quality-assured health information and information on the services of the Austrian Health care system.

In order to improve patient safety, we run projects related to risk management as well as reporting and learning systems.
