The study provides basic information about the regulation of these three professions according to D 89/48/EEC in the member states of the EEA and the Swiss Confederation as per December 2003.
It offers two objects:
It serves as an additional basis for the decision by the competent authorities dealing with admission to these professions of EEA nationals.
It provides basic information for psychotherapists, clinical psychologists and health psychologists on requirements to be met to pursue a profession in another EEA country or in the Swiss Confederation.
The information and data gathered are presented in a report and a reference part. The report gives an overview and a comparison of the countries surveyed. The reference part provides detailed information about laws, regulations and administrative provisions governing the profession. In addition the study informs about laws and regulations for education and training in the countries where the professions are regulated according to D 89/48/EEC. It specifies the authorities competent for recognition and describes whether the services in the fields psychotherapy, clinical psychology and health psychology are eligible for refunding in the context of the social security system in the individual countries, and if so, which institutions are competent.
