Health-care professions

Reporting

The reports on nonphysician health care professions are aimed at providing basic data on health care input, health care output and health care outcome in Austria.

These reports, similar to the other forms of  health reporting, aim at providing a basis for decision-making for the control and planning of health care for the population of Austria, delivered by professional service providers. In this context the focus is placed on describing the situation at present as well as dynamics and trends that show with regard to the corresponding professions or activities and the related services as well as education and training.

Reporting helps ensure a systematic, continuous and dynamic collection of professional data, e.g., on staff size and key figures with regard to training. The reporting structure is flexible enough to permit investigating and presenting themes according to recency and urgency. Thus, two purposes are met: continuous monitoring of data/ratios on the one hand and scientific treatment of specific social or care aspects, depending on focus, topicality or demand, on the other.
