HTA methods

In order to meet the requirements for high quality and objectivity of HTA, the best possible methodological instruments have to be used, while keeping procedures transparent. When drawing up HTA reports, a standardised, clear procedure has to be adhered to, and in addition, technical and methodological prerequisites have to be observed.

A process manual has been prepared that describes the most important aspects and standard steps that have to be taken when HTA reports are drawn up. Relevant national and international methodological manuals in this field were collected and described, and their practical use in Austria or need for adaptation was discussed.
